Robbery at a village store

TWO men have robbed a village store with one of them brandishing a hammer as a weapon.

It happened just before 11pm last night (Monday) at The Co-operative shop in Hunters’ Way in Brixworth.

Two men went into the store, one with a hammer and the other a spanner, demanded the till and left with the till and a quantity of cigarettes. The till tray was later found in Lessen Road.

The first offender is described as a white man, around 6ft 2in, of stocky build, in his late 20s or early 30s, with his face covered and wearing dark clothing. The second was a white man, around 5ft 9in, of medium build, in his mid 20s, wearing white hooded top with three black stripes on the hood and a navy jacket.
