Daventry town centre will echo to the sound of motorbikes and music on when the ‘Daventry Motorcycle Festival’ roars into town.
The event organised by local motorcycle enthusiasts, with support from Daventry District Council and Daventry Town Council, will take place between 10.30am and 4pm on Saturday June 13, and will have you firing on all cylinders.
The free family festival will take place in the Market Square and on High Street includes a ‘ride-in’, displays of old and new bikes, stalls, children’s activities, and music.
If you want to hear the bikes’ engines roar you’ll need to be in the town centre (around High Street) for just after 10am as the ‘ride-in’ rumbles in. Bikes will be meeting at Biker’s World, in Brown’s Road, from 9am.
In addition to bikes there will be food and children’s activities including bouncy castle, bungee run, face painting, side-car rides, balloon modelling, and ice cream. Some superb local bands will be taking to the stage. Performing on the day will be So’77, Fall from Glory, Twisted State of Mind and Sgt Bilko’s Krazy Combo.
Chris Stanley, chair of the Daventry Motorcycle Festival, said: “The motorcycle festival is one of the biggest events that Daventry stages. The event draws people from the local area but also from considerably further afield so it provides a real opportunity to showcase the town’s amenities and attractions as well as generating additional footfall and spend for local businesses.
“Bike enthusiast or not we think you will enjoy it so we look forward to welcoming you on the day.”
