Residents unite to tidy up the Grange estate

People living on the Grange estate took part in a tidy up on Wednesday last week. The event was organised by Wendy Randall, current district and town councillor. She worked with Daventry and District Housing to arrange it. Cllr Randall said: “They provided equipment for us to use and arranged to place three skips in different areas within the estate. It was a miserable day and the rain hardly stopped but that didn’t stop our small army of volunteers. I have found there are quite a few residents on the estate that litter pick every time they are out and about and the area is starting to look so much better. All we need now is for the grass and ground maintenance to be carried out on a more regular basis. I would like to see some community events on the field, bring your blanket and picnic and enjoy a game of rounders but the grass is so long it remains wet all the time and dog owners can’t always see to pick up after their dog, especially if it is dark. Thank you once again DDH and to everybody who helped on that day.”
