They were alerted at shortly before 10pm to vehicles being driven fast in apparent races along the roads of DIRFT. They also said around 15 vehicles were reported to be parked around the area, along with crowds of spectators gathered along the roads, and on the central reservations of dual carriageways.

A spokesman for the police said although officers were dispatched when the calls came in, by the time they arrived at the area the vehicles had all been driven away and the crowds were dispersing.
