Pupils pick up their GCSE results

PUPILS across the Daventry area have been picking up their GCSE results today (Thursday).

Hundreds of sudents at William Parker School, the Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village, Guilsborough School and Campion School in Bugbrooke were anxiously opening envelopes to find out how they did in their GCSEs.

The Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village saw 51 per cent of its students got five or more A* to C including English and maths while William Parker School had 46 per cent of its pupils achieve five more A* to GCSE including English and maths.

For Campion School has achieved the best overall results in history with 70 per cent of pupils getting five or more GCSEs including English and maths. A total of 87 per cent got five or more GCSEs at the school.

Guilsborough School has seen 70 per cent of its students getting five or more A* to C including English and maths.
