Artistic youngsters were rewarded for their design work on Daventry District Council’s chairman’s calendar for 2015.
Pupils from Kilsby and Crick primary schools entered the competition to design the calendar, with six children from each chosen as winners.
Their 12 designs make up the calendar for 2015, which has been sent to other civic dignitaries across the area.
Cllr Catherine Lomax, DDC chairman, visited both schools to present prizes, certificates and copies of the finished calendars to the winning pupils. She was full of praise for the youngsters.
She said: “The children came up with some wonderfully colourful and thoughtful designs which were all so good it made it extremely difficult to choose the winners.
