TV presenter and property expert Kirstie Allsopp visited the Daventry district to film an episode of Location Location Location.
Kirstie and a Channel 4 production crew came to the district in May this year to film an episode which was aired on Thursday last week.
Married couple Rinku and Sunder had been living in a family-owned property fora number of years, but with the house due to be demolished they were left searching for a new home.
The film crew went to Crick, where the couple were filmed in the garden of a village pub and viewing a four-bedroom detached house.
The property – still on the market with Long Buckby- based estate agent Laurence Tremayne for £259,950 – was not to their taste and the couple finally settled on a house in Cold Ashby. The deal was sealed by Kirstie in the Red Lion pub in Thornby. After the show went out on Thursday, the pub tweeted: “Many thanks to #locationlocationlocation & @KirstieMAllsopp for filming in our pub @redlionthornby #teacosy”
Kirstie Allsopp described the Crick property as ‘one of the worst laid out houses’ she’d ever seen’ but said the family home had a huge amount of space and potential, describing it as a ‘developers’ dream’.
Location Location Location co-host Phil Spencer, meanwhile, described Northamptonshire as one of the most beautiful counties in the country.
