Private gardens to be opened up for charity

A NUMBER of private gardens will be on show across the district as part of the National Gardens Scheme.

There will be six gardens open in Flore on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm and admission to all of them is £5.

The stately gardens of Canons Ashby House will be open on Friday, June 22 from 11am to 5pm. Entrance is £3.60 for adults and £2.05 for children. They will also be open on Saturday, September 22.

People can also view six gardens in West Haddon between 7pm and 10pm on Saturday, June 23 and from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, June 24. Admission is £4.

Five different gardens varying in size can be seen in Litchborough on Sunday, September 24 from 2pm to 6pm. Entry is £4.

Later in the year, there will be open gardens in Ravensthorpe, Hollowell and Holdenby House.

Funds raisedwill be donated to charities including Macmillan Cancer Support. Visit for further details.
