Police search for children at Drayton Reservoir.

POLICE and fire crews were called to Drayton Reservoir in Daventry last night (Tuesday, December 7) following reports that two children had fallen through the ice.

A resident was concerned that two children had been playing on the ice had made their way to a boat and were bouncing up and down.

The emergency services were called at 4.45pm by the resident who reported the children had disappeared from view.

Police officers and four fire crews were sent out as part of the search. The boys were later found safe and well.
