UNDERAGE drinking and anti-social behaviour in Daventry is the focus of a summit organised by the police in a bid to crack down on the problems.

The meeting today (Thursday) has been targeted at specially chosen members of the community, including off-licence traders, school representatives and teenagers from the Phoenix Centre and the town’s youth council as well as local skateboarders.

The force says youngsters get alcohol by asking adults to buy it for them, but the sergeant who has called the summit is keen to work with agencies as part of the solution.
