Police name man who died in crash on A5 near Daventry

Police have released the name of the motorist who died in a crash on the A5 on Monday.

Balmer Bains, aged 51 and from Coventry, died after the collision near Watford village at around 4.25am.

The collision involved a grey Mercedes Vito being driven by Mr Bains, and a yellow Scania HGV driven by a 62-year-old man.

Mr Bains sadly died at the scene.
