Plugging into fast internet

AN ONLINE questionnaire has been launched to try and provide evidence of the poor broadband speed across the Davenry area.

Northamptonshire County Council wants people to log on and give details of the speeds they receive and any problems they experience online, for business or leisure.

The information will be used to formulate a bid for Government funding to help provide superfast broadband speeds across the county.

Most of the county has lines that deliver speeds of eight or 24mb/s, compared to 100mb/s in some areas.

Despite the supposed capacity, some urban areas are not achieving 2mb/s and many rural areas get 0.5 or even have no fixed line service at all.
