NEW play equipment has been installed at a village primary school following a £10,000 fundraising effort.
Bugbrooke Primary School has turned part of its playground into an artificial grass surface which can be used all year round.
The land was previously a muddy quagmire during the winter months which could not be used.
Headteacher Debbie Bastin said: “The school has a fabulous PTA who work very hard each year. For the past year all fundraising events have been held to raise funds specifically for the project.
“It has been a dream of ours for a long time to improve this area and we are delighted. In the summer we plan for classes to have story time outside on the grass and maybe even class picnics.”
