PEOPLE are invited to take part in picking their own produce by the Green Health at Daventry project on Tuesday.
The produce has been grown at the community allotment over the past nine months by volunteers as part of the project, which encourages people with mental health problems to cultivate organic foods.
The project aims to promote physical health, healthy eating, and social interaction and is a partnership between the community group Green Health at Daventry, Daventry District Council and Daventry Town Council. The project is also supported by Rethink, a leading Mental Health Charity.
The open day, at the allotments off the old Welton Road in Daventry is from noon to 6pm on Tuesday.
Anyone interested in going along to pick their own meal is asked to contact Peter Edge for Green Health at Daventry on 07850 541825.
