Northamptonshire's talented kids have proved a big hit with local community radio station Beat Route Radio.

Local police launched an art competition across the county last week and were so wowed by what they saw, they produced a video showing off the young artists' work.

Rushden-based Beat Route chipped with some prizes — voice controlled i-box Century Internet Radio with Amazon Alexa built-in and Amazon vouchers — for the best and presenter Andy Black announced the winners live on air.

A spokesman for the force said: "We asked the county’s children and young people to share their lockdown artwork with us.

"We had a fantastic response and this celebratory video showcases all the creative, colourful work we received.

"There are clearly a lot of talented young people in Northamptonshire!
