Northamptonshire budding artists urged to take part in NHS competition to celebrate healthcare heroes
NHFT - which delivers a range of physical and mental health services in Northamptonshire - have been 'hugely impressed' by the artwork that has been displayed in households during the lockdown.
Since Boris Johnson announced the lockdown on March 23 windows across the county have been lined with teddy bears, thank you notes, superheroes, rainbows, portraits and poems.

Hide AdNorthamptonshire residents have found lots of artistic ways of showing their appreciation for health heroes, key workers, and each other in the community during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
The trust wants to reward the ongoing community spirit during this time by collecting and sharing the artwork on their NHS website, social media and in a future display at one of their sites, which include GP practices and hospitals.
The winning entries will also be given 'something sweet' and a congratulatory certificate from our chief executive Angela Hillery.
Entrants should feel free to submit a piece they’ve already worked on or while half term upon us why not use the competition as an opportunity to get the art supplies out and create something new?
Anyone is welcome to enter. The categories are:
• Under 11s
• 11-18 year olds
• Adults
To send a picture of the artwork to the judges, email [email protected] the subject ‘art competition’, alongside the entrant's name and category before the deadline on Monday 8th June.
