Hundreds of competitors are expected to battle it out at this year's Viridian Daventry Triathlon.

It takes place on September 12 and is once again being sponsored by Viridian Nutrition, and organised by Rugby Triathlon Club.

This 400m pool-based sprint race starts in the Daventry Leisure Centre, offers a 20km cycle section through the local Northamptonshire countryside and a scenic 5km run around Daventry Country Park. The race is suitable for first timers as well as experienced triathletes.
