A POPULAR artist will be in town next week to showcase his latest selection of work.
Paul James, who houses his work at the Paul James Gallery on Sheaf Street, will be in Daventry to display some of his brand new work.
The event will take place at the Evergreen Art Cafe, which is also based on Sheaf Street, on the evening of Thursday, October 20.
Evergreen Art Cafe manager Simon Williams said: “The last few events we’ve held with Paul have been too big for the Paul James Gallery.
“So we’ve decided to hold this one at Evergreen where we have more space.
“We are hoping Paul will also be bringing his piano and playing some music as he’s a great jazz pianist.
“At the last event we had between 70 and 100 people and Paul has a very good following for his work all over the UK.
“Four brand new pieces of his art will be on display next week as well as around 25 to 30 pieces of work from his gallery.
“It’s going to be a mixture of old and new work on display and should be a great night for anyone who wants to come along.
“Everyone is welcome but we would like people to let us know if they are coming so we know how many to cater for, as we offer a free glass of champagne on the night.
The event will be taking place next Thursday from 6pm till 9.30pm.
