WORK to improve access to parts of Daventry Country Park is being carried out.
Improvements are being made to one of the entrances to the park and along the reservoir walk making paths much easier to use.
A number of other repairs will also be made to various potholes and surfaces will be improved.
The work is expected to be completed by tomorrow (Friday), and will cost £6,500, which will come from the revenue generated at the park.
Ian Vincent, chief executive at DDC, said: “These improvements will make the circular walk around the park much more accessible to everyone, but particularly people using wheelchairs and pushchairs. It shows we are continuing to invest in such an important asset for the community, and I hope people notice the difference the next time they visit the park.”
