Golden couple Maureen,71, and Wesley Kenworthy, 75, of Drayton celebrated 50 years of marriage on Saturday with a party attended by almost 150 people in Stockton.
The pair married on June 1, 1963 after meeting in the old Methodist Church in Daventry in 1960.
They have four children and seven grandchildren.
Mrs Kenworthy said: “I think it is hilarious to be celebrating my golden wedding as I don’t feel old enough to have been married for 50 years! “I am very blessed to have reached this milestone and I think it is because we have always talked things through.
