YOUNGSTERS can try something new and enjoy the outdoors at new sessions being run in Daventry.
The sessions are being held at Daventry Country Park and start on Saturday.
The bushcraft sessions include building shelters, camping skills, raft building, lighting fires and getting close to nature. Everything needed is supplied.
Dylan Jones, project manager, said: “As outdoor pursuits specialists, we’ve been delivering school projects and holiday programmes in Daventry for a few years now.
“With the sessions at the Country Park we are bringing the outdoors closer to people, teaching skills that will keep them safe, as well as providing the buzz of exciting and adventurous activities.”
The bushcraft sessions run on Saturdays from 10am to noon at the park.
The group is also running canoe and kayak sessions on Wednesdays from 4.30pm to 6pm at the park.
It costs £20 for six sessions, which are open to eight to 16 year olds.
