On target for archery fun at Daventry schools

Children were right on target when they took part in an inter-school archery competition.

Key Stage One pupils aged five to seven from Falconer’s Hill Infant, St James Infant, The Grange Primary and Ashby Fields Primary battled it out for prizes.

There were teams of six children from each school competing for medals and a trophy.

Coleen Wilkins, headteacher at Falconer’s Hill Infants, said: “The sportsmanship and behaviour of the children was exemplary and a credit to their schools.

“The winning school was Falconer’s Hill Infants, but every child thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and went
away knowing that they had made new friends and had represented their school superbly.”
