Northamptonshire MEP says residents should have referendum over Weedon homes
The UKIP MEP said his party would give local residents – who are campaigning against controversial plans to build 120 homes on a greenfield site in the village – a referendum on such a crucial issue.
He said: “UKIP wants residents to have the right to veto such developments in a local referendum.

Hide Ad“We also want more emphasis on brownfield sites with help for developers to reclaim damaged sites and the setting up of a national register of brownfield sites.”
The UKIP manifesto states that there is scope for up to 2.5 million homes to be developed on brownfield sites.
