Later buses will be running between Daventry and Banbury from next week, it has been announced.
From Monday, the 5.25pm departure from Banbury bus station, which currently stops at Woodford Halse, will be extended to Daventry, arriving at 6.20pm. This will operate Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays.
The route 200 bus leaves Daventry bus station at 6.25pm and provides a later journey to Badby, Charwelton, Byfield and Woodford Halse.
Other later journeys that can be made include the 6.25pm service from Daventry to Southbrook, Weedon and Northampton, the 6.30pm to Lang Farm via Ashby Fields and the 6.30pm service to Staverton, Napton, Southam and Leamington, the 6.35pm to Stefen Hill via The Grange and the 6.54pm to Middlemore.
The 6.25pm from Banbury to Woodford Halse will continue to operate but the return journey will not.
Villagers using the Daventry Area County Connect bus service can arrangeonward connections on Monday to Fridays.
