New homes a step closer in village

SOME 15 new homes in Brixworth could be built following a council meeting.

An outline application for the homes was given approval at a meeting of Daventry District Council’s (DDC) planning committee held on Wednesday last week.

The plans for the scheme, proposed by Development Securities, will see an estate road built alongside the homes at land to the north of Eaglehurst in the village.

The application was recommended for approval by DDC officers despite objections from residents saying that any more new homes would put extra strain on existing village amenities.
