The company was founded in 2001 and was featured in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 League Table for 2011 for the second year running.

Menkind stocks a range of gifts which have been tested on real men including tech gadgets, watches, wallets, bags and fun novelty gifts.

The Northampton store also offers a ‘click and collect’ service when ordering online.

A statement on the Menkind website reads: “We think gadgets are fun and we only sell the types of gifts we would love to receive ourselves. Our mission is to provide a wide and interesting choice of men’s gifts for the man who has everything.

“Fourteen years on, we find we are not alone in our love for gadgets and boys toys! We have over 30 shops, with more pop-up stores planned for this Christmas. Our shop staff love to chat with our customers which is where we get some of our best ideas and feedback.”

Menkind has opened in the former Republic unit which was most recently used by Hawkins Bazaar as a pop-up store at Christmas.
