Music event at Daventry pub rocked as it raised money for charity

Daventry's mayor thanked all those who took pace in a day of live music at a town pub to raise money for her chosen charity.

Mayor Cllr Glenda Simmonds said she was thrilled with the support given at Glory Fest, held at The Peppermill in Westerburg Square on the Stefen Hill estate on Friday last week.

The event saw a series of bands rock out, with all the groups giving their time for free to raise money for charity.

The mayor gave a special thanks to Allie Aldridge, for hosting the event at The Peppermill and all those people who gave generously to the Mayor’s Charity, which this year is Macmillan’s Daventry branch.

Cllr Simmonds said: “You all raised £478.28, making a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.”
