Motorcyclist dies after crash on A45 near Dodford

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist sadly died on the A45, near Daventry, on Sunday (November 16).

Shortly after 1pm, a blue Suzuki GSXR1000, ridden by a 31-year-old man from Northampton, was travelling along the A45 towards Dodford from Daventry in convoy with another motorcyclist, who was riding a green Kawasaki ZX1000.

For reasons yet unknown, near to Newnham Grange Farm, the Suzuki left the road. Sadly, the motorcyclist died at the scene.

The Kawasaki was not involved.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who saw either of the motorcyclists prior to the collision.
