Motorcycles ride into town

SEVERAL British-made Hesketh Motorcycles, originally made in Daventry, will return home to the town’s Motorcycle Festival on Saturday.

The free family festival will roar into town between 10.30am and 2.30pm, on the High Street in the town centre.

In addition to an array of vintage and modern motorbikes, there will be a music stage, face painting, a bouncy castle, stalls, children’s rides and much more.

Chris Stanley, from Unlimited Communications, one of the event organisers, said: “The Motorcycle Festival is a great event for Daventry that brings in hundreds of people to the town centre and provides a great boost for the local economy – very important in this current economic climate.”
