There will be two days of activities as Boddington Methodist Church celebrates its 150th anniversary at the weekend.

On Saturday the church will be open from 1pm to 5pm with flowers in the chapel and a display in the adjoining schoolroom. This will show a wide range of memorabilia from
the past 150 years in the village.

The display will be partly made up of things which have been sent in following an appeal by the church at the start of the year.

It will also showcase the history of the chapel and art work from children at the local primary school.

The event will then continue on Sunday with the same display running from 1pm to 4pm.

There will then follow a celebration service starting at 6pm on Sunday. The superintendent minister, the Rev Lin Francis, will be leading the service and the speaker will be the Rev Alan Haine.

In between the display the celebration service is teas served at Boddington Village Hall.
