Youngsters have the chance to meet Father Christmas when he makes a special stop at Daventry Country Park later this month.

Santa will be flying in from the North Pole to meet children at the park’s visitors’ centre on Monday,December 23 from 10am until noon.

Santa’s Stop has been arranged with the help of Daventry District Council, Danetre Rotary Club, Evolution PR and the Friends of Daventry Country Park.

Each child who meets Santa will receive a small, free gift. Youngsters can also take part in a special Santa Quiz Trail during his visit to the park, off Northern Way, Daventry.

Councillor Alan Hills, Daventry District Council’s Community Culture and Leisure Portfolio Holder, said: “This is the second year that Santa has taken a couple of hours out of his busy schedule to visit Daventry Country Park. Last Christmas hundreds of children got the chance to meet him and we expect this year’s visit to be even better.”

Families visiting Santa’s Stop are reminded to make sure they wrap up in warm clothes and that youngsters are accompanied by an adult.
