Police have issued a renewed appeal for information after a was found with head injuries on a path in Daventry town centre.
The 37-year-old man was found injured on the footpath in the Holy Cross church yard, Daventry in the early hours of Saturday, November 7.
The man had been for a night out in Daventry and had visited premises in New Street, before being found with a head injury at about 2.27am by a member of the public. He remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Police officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed an assault in the area of the church yard in the early hours of November 7, or who may have any information in connection with the incident.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail pending further enquiries.
