Man and woman help married couple in Daventry village unload shopping before stealing credit cards

A married couple in Guilsborough were the victim of a distraction burglary, which saw a man and a woman pose as helpful strangers asking for directions.

Between midday and 12.30pm on Friday, September 28, the couple pulled up outside their garage in Church Mount, Guilsborough having been shopping.

A man and a woman unknown to the pair were stood at the rear of the car and began helping them bring the shopping inside the house.

The offenders then got a map out and asked for assistance in finding out where they were and the married couple helped them.

Then the woman began complaining that her stomach was hurting and said she needed to go to hospital.

Shortly after the man and woman left.

The victim found the incident strange and checked her purse to find her debit card and Barclaycard were missing.
