Live music and fireworks will be among the attractions at the Weedon Weekender being held later this month.

The event has been organised by Weedon Sports Association and will start on Friday August 23 and be kicked off by local band Pure Genius starting at 7pm.

This will be followed by Weedon Fete on Saturday and this will be followed by more live music with the Ukulele Band performing at 5.30pm.

The group Chain of Fools will close the Saturday night entertainment.

On Sunday a family picnic in the park will see family games available. A jazz band will start the evening’s music off with the final band The Saturday Night Bee Gees performing some of the band’s greatest hits. The band promise a truly powerhouse performance that transports you through the formidable song-writing talents of Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb. The weekend finale will be a big bang Firework Display.

The people behind the plans have also asked for help in putting on the festival.
