A JOINT coronation took place as a village school held a traditional May Day.
At West Haddon Primary School Harry Priestley was crowned May King and Eve Packer was given the title of queen.
The pair paraded through the school after the crowning ceremony.
Teacher Sue Courtney said: “A lovely afternoon of traditional May Day dancing was enjoyed by all the children.
“It was a great event made even better by the sunshine.
“Last year it was raining all day and we had to do everything indoors so it was great to be outside this year.
“The May King and Queen looked fantastic.
“And a lot of thanks must go to the PTA who provided tea and cakes during the afternoon.”
