Hundreds of people across the Daventry district have been raising money for a good causes as part of Sport Relief.
More than 100 local people turned out in force for the Sport Relief Mile in Daventry. People of all ages completed either one, three or six miles along the Eastern Way Playing Fields in the town.
Schools across the district also got involved. Byfield Primary School held a cake sale and a pyjama day to raise funds. Their efforts raised £236.
The primary schools in Weedon and Kilsby completed 625 miles worth of exercise,` which covers the same distance between Lands End and John O’Groats.
Crick resident Carolyn Peel staged a 16-hour cycle on her exercise bike despite having had six operations on her ankle, while Drew Beau-Mont, 11, raised £141 by swimming a mile for the charity in just over an hour, his longest ever distance.
