COFFEE drinkers are being urged to get behind a Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser.
The charity will host its annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on September 28 and events will be taking place across the Daventry District.
More than £1 million has been raised by the appeal so far and Macmillan’s fund-raising manager in Northamptonshire, Cherida Plumb, said the charity was hoping to hit the £138,000 mark with coffee morning events.
Businesses, residents, schools and community groups are invited to host coffee mornings on the event day, or in the weeks leading up to it, to help Macmillan reach their target.
Mrs Plumb said: “We’ve had a good response from local firms so far but we are hoping even more will get involved. The feedback we always get from businesses is that the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is a really easy event to organise and it’s great for staff morale.”
