NHS bosses are looking for private companies to guide people in Northamptonshire with metal health conditions.
Allowing mental health patients, such as those with learning disabilities, to live by themselves where possible has been NHS and local authority policy since 2010.
NHS Northamptonshire is now looking for firms who can guide patients on how to spend their money.
The contracts will go to companies able to treat and care for patients while they live in the community, rather than units.
Bosses want to see the best results “within limited resources”, including plans that shift patients from statutory services and “into independent living.”
