A Christmas Craft Fayre with a difference will be coming to a village hall on Saturday

It is the third year the event in Preston Capes has been run and villagers have been working hard to produce hand-crafted items which will be sold at the fayre.

Among the items on sale are house-wares, fashion accessories, wicker-ware and stocking fillers.

There is also a parish produce stall which will be selling cakes, preserves and confectionary, all made by people living in Preston Capes.

Entry is free and there will be the opportunity to win a Christmas cake in the raffle.

Refreshments will also be available, including tea and coffee, mulled wine, mince pies, cakes and bacon rolls!

One of the organisers of the event, Penny Eves, said: “As in previous years, this event is unique in that everything on sale has been made by those living in the parish.

“Anyone who has visited the village hall over the last year or so will appreciate the huge improvements that have been made.

“Profits from this year’s Craft Fayre will go towards completing this project. Don’t forget... everything on sale is exclusive to Preston Capes – you won’t find these items anywhere else.”

The event will run at the village hall in Old Forge Lane and takes place from 9.30am and 1.30pm. For further information about the Christmas Craft Fayre, visit www.prestoncapes.org.uk.
