Dancers put on an amazing show.

The anniversary celebrations were staged by Hays Hair & Beauty in the Saxon Suite at Daventry Leisure Centre.

Salon owner Clare Miller said the show was a great success, with people of all ages appreciating the bold and beautiful styles.

“There were so many great styles at the hair show,” she said.

“The models and dancers from Starlight Dance school were brilliant.”

Clare was actually born on the hair salon premises in High Street in the late 1950s.

The salon was set up by her mother Ann Hay - a respected hairdresser who is thought to have been the first in Daventry to actually colour hair.

When she left school, Clare trained in London and worked alongside her mother for more than 20 years.

Clare said: “I’d like to thank everybody who supported the show.”
