Group to challenge Brixworth housing plans

A PROTEST group has been set up to try and prevent new houses being built around Brixworth.

Brixworth Residents Against New Estates (BRANE) was formed at a meeting at the village library last week which was attended by more than 120 people.

Chairman Bob Chattaway said the group had been set up in preparation to fight an expected planning application to build 150 houses to the south of the village, east of Northampton Road.

Mr Chattaway said: “We feel there may well be a planning application.

“Everybody in the village is worried about the fact the village infrastructure will not be able to cope with all the new houses being built.
