Grand fete draws the crowds

The road through the centre of Everdon was shut down on Bank Holiday Monday as scores of people turned out for the village’s grand fete.

The event was kicked off by BBC Radio Northampton’s Bernie Keith, and the afternoon had all the traditional fete attractions, from morris dancing (pictured) to teas, a coconut shy, skittles, bottle stall and white elephant. There was a fun dog show, and even a zip wire from the church tower for adventurous teddy bears to slide down.
