BLADES went out at the semi-final stage in this NTFA cup clash.

Harpole took the lead early on. The Blades created a couple of chances to equalise in the first-half but were not at their best throughout this game.

The second-half saw Harpole extend their lead before Nathan Butler scored five minutes from time to make it a nervy few minutes for the hosts.

Man of the match was Joe Squirrell whose hold up play and touch were excellent on the day.

Danes first game for two months was lost when they ran out of steam.

Connor Weston cleverly chipped the ball over the keeper to give the hard-working Danes the lead midway through the second-half.

Two late goals gave Bilton the win in an excellent match. Kyle Baxter was man of the match.

Daventry took too much time to get into this cup game. Gregory Celtic were two nil up at half-time.

A keen Vikings’ team spirit in the second-half saw Edward Moyes playing a terrific game.

Blaine Chatwin worked hard up front with impressive football.

Brandon Holmes and Thomas Clements played with passion and Oliver Brady, Mathew Ridgewell, James Davey, Jack Ramsden all worked hard but to no avail.

Man of the match went to Aiden Crawley.

D Town Vikings U9s 3 Welland Valley Yellow 5

Daventry Town Vikings and Welland Valley Yellow played out an entertaining and nerve-jangling game for the fans.

The end-to-end game resulted in a 5-3 win for the Yellows.

The Vikings took the lead with a Ben Sefton shot which deflected in off the post.

The Yellows responded with an equaliser before the Vikings once again took the lead with a super strike from Sam Collins.

Again the Yellows equalised but Ben Sefton netted just before half-time to give the Vikings a 3-2 lead at the break.

The Vikings were caught cold at the start of the second-half with the Yellows scoring a quick goal.

This set the tone as they netted twice more resulting in a 5-3 defeat for the Vikings.

Player of the match was Megan Critchley.
