The National Charity Partnership Charity Awards were held on Thursday last week in London to celebrate the fundraising achievements of Tesco staff in 2015. Simon Shenton and Karl Headley, both night shift workers at Tesco Grocery Distribution Centre Daventry, won the award for Fundraising Event (Distribution Centre). They cycled across England, Scotland and Ireland, raising over £8,000.
The role that Billy Currie, campus engineering manager at Tesco’s Daventry Frozen Distribution Centre, played in organising fundraising events won him the award for Individual Fundraiser of the Year (Distribution Centres).
In 2015 Billy organised football tournaments and 48 hour cycle challenges, to name but a few.
