Homeowners living in the villages of Yelvertoft, Lilborne and Crick have a fantastic opportunity to get some free external wall insulation.
Around 20 properties in the villages that have electric or coal heating and have solid walls can apply to take advantage of the scheme, and residents do not have to be on means-tested benefits to participate.
The initiative is being administered by local insulation company Rockwarm and funded by Scottish Power.
Cllr Daniel Cribbin, environment portfolio holder at Daventry District Council, said: “We are signposting residents to this scheme, which represents a great opportunity for residents living in these villages to stay warmer during the colder months and lower carbon emissions.
“The initiative is run by Rockwarm, who have specifically targeted these three villages because a large number of properties are not on the gas network and have solid walls. We hope that the offer will be extended to other areas of the district if the scheme is a success.”
Residents wishing to take part in the scheme should contact Rockwarm on freephone number 0800 132 689 by August 30, but ideally as soon as possible as works need to be completed during the good weather.
