Former FA and Arsenal vice-chairman to visit Guilsborough Academy

A former vice-charman of the Football Association and Arsenal is coming to speak to students at Guilsborough Academy.

David Dein is a football entrepreneur and businessman, who joined the Arsenal Board in 1983 and was made vice-chairman in the same year. He also rose to vice-chairman of the Football Association, and has served on numerous UEFA and FIFA Committees.

During David’s time at Arsenal the Club won a total of 18 trophies.

David was one of the main architects in the creation of the Premier League in 1992 and has been at the forefront of many of the important changes in football including the introduction of Goal Line Technology.

As an active participant in the Speakers for Schools programme, David is keen to share his experiences to inspire young people.

He will be addressing senior members of Guilsborough Academy on Friday, July 3 and challenging them to aspire to greatness.
