First recreation ground designs to be revealed

THE first draft designs for the recreation ground in Long Buckby will be revealed at a fundraiser next month.

The designs will be on display at a children’s nearly new sale on February 23 where villagers will be asked for their views and feedback.

The sale will be held at the Long Buckby Community Centre to raise money for the children’s recreation ground which needs a hefty £100,000 to go ahead. Children’s toys, clothing and accessories for newborn babies to four year-olds will be on sale from 10.30am until 1pm.

A £600 Maclaren buggy will be raffled at the sale and refreshments will be available for an admission fee of 50p.

Villagers can sell items at the sale for a charge of £6 per table.

These can be booked through the secretary of the children’s recreation ground committee, Sophie Green, by calling 07766 303010 or via email on
