Fete crowds despite rain

It was church fete time in Braunston on Saturday. All Saints in the village organised the event, which raises money for the church’s upkeep.

Due to the very wet weather first thing on the Saturday many of the activities and stalls were moved from the green and into the nearby village hall. Despite the weather, organisers estimate they have raised £2,000. Activities and stalls on offer included MarioKart time trials (main picture with Edward Brown timing Bradley Martins), crafts, and books. Plus there was a barbecue, cream teas and a historic fair organ to keep people entertained. Also pictured is the Rev Sarah Brown looking through the books on offer on Charles Dunn’s book stall at the fete.
