College brings in new courses after research

The Daventry centre of Northampton College has launched a new directory of part-time courses including Mediterranean cookery and counselling.

Following the ‘Have Your Say’ survey conducted at the end of last year the college has taken on board the views of Daventry residents in deciding which courses would be most useful and successful in the town.

Subjects such as Indian head massage, photography, and website creation are just a few of the courses on offer as well as free maths and English courses for adults.

More vocational subject and leisure and pleasure courses include hair and beauty, complimentary therapy and catering as well as foreign language courses which are available in French, German and Spanish.

Head of centre, Ellen Butler, said: “When I was appointed at the college I was keen to establish what courses the people of Daventry wanted to study and we were delighted that more than 200 people shared their views with us on education in the town.

“In response we have developed an exciting range of new part-time courses which include short courses to help with career progression, free taster sessions and a great mix and variety of leisure courses too.”

Many of the part-time course begin in the next two weeks so for more information on what’s available visit or call 0845 300 4401.
