DRAYTON residents association have expressed concerns for drivers and pedestrians on some Drayton roads.

They believe pedestrians emerging from Williams Terrace onto Western Avenue often have trouble seeing oncoming vehicles due to parked cars - something county highways and Cllr Chris Long are attempting to rectify. One suggested resolution is painting yellow lines through the stretch of road between Williams Terrace and the nearby laybye.

The condition of roads in the area has recently been addressed due to deterioration on the path and carriageway.

Pot holes on Orchard Street and Lake Crescent are to be filled and other roads in area repaired with all faded white lined remarked.

This follows a meeting bwteen Cllr Long and county highways engineers, MGWSP and a member of the DRA on December 3.
